Local detail
Trafford (Bowdon, Hale, Altrincham, Sale), Stockport (Bramhall, Wilmslow-adjacent), and South Manchester (Didsbury, Chorlton) are the highest-demand KDR districts. Cheshire East commuter belt (Wilmslow, Knutsford, Alderley Edge) commands a further premium and is technically just outside Greater Manchester.
The Places for Everyone joint Local Plan covers nine of the ten Greater Manchester boroughs (Stockport withdrew). Replacement-dwelling policy follows NPPF; Green Belt covers significant areas including most of Trafford's southern parishes and Stockport's south-eastern parishes.
